MacroForge

Free Indian macro calculator

Macros that fit your goal and food preferences.

Estimate your daily calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat for cutting, maintenance or lean bulking. MacroForge then uses your region and diet style to build a practical sample day from its verified food records.

Designed for real diets

Select vegetarian, vegan, non-vegetarian or other supported patterns, then exclude common allergens and specific foods. MacroForge filters foods before building the sample day.

The planner only uses food records it can trace to a named dataset. It does not pretend every traditional recipe has one fixed nutrition value.

How the calorie estimate works

MacroForge starts with the Mifflin–St Jeor resting-energy equation for adults. It then applies an activity estimate and a separate training increment to estimate total daily energy expenditure. Your selected goal and pace adjust that maintenance estimate.

Resting energy = 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) − 5 × age + sex constant

The result is a starting estimate. Track your average body weight and real food intake for two to three weeks, then adjust calories gradually when the trend does not match your goal.

Protein for fat loss and muscle gain

Protein is set from body weight and goal rather than assigned as a fixed percentage of calories. That approach keeps the target meaningful when calorie intake changes. Carbohydrate and fat targets use the remaining calorie budget while respecting practical minimums.

Macro targets are estimates, not a diagnosis or prescription. Training quality, sleep, food availability and adherence affect results as much as the calculated split.

Using Indian foods responsibly

Indian meals vary substantially by recipe, oil, portion size and preparation. MacroForge shows food source IDs and preparation states beside sample-day items and clearly labels approximate totals. The project methodology identifies where USDA FoodData Central records are used and where verified Indian recipe data is still incomplete.

For pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating-disorder treatment, diabetes, kidney disease or other medical nutrition needs, use an appropriately qualified clinician instead of an automated calorie planner.
